There's just something about finding feathers.
Something symbolic.
Something that pulls me into a moment.
Holds me weightless.

Air and wind wrap around me.
Stripping my mind of yesterday.
Pulling string and strand of anything that hurt.
Suspended.

A bird diving, only to soar.
Brushing belly against mountain and sky.
As far away from sound... as its wings will carry.

    1. The small feather was so exciting- bright blue, iridescent sides! You know- the desert mostly just provides a lot of dove when you're positioned so far into a city. The wrens are playing today. They know no time, but the present.
