This is my art.
My craft.
My heart.
My mind- to paper- to metal.

This is my process.
My work.
My practice.
A work in progress.

This is my existence.
My dinner.
My bread for my family.
A way to give to others.

This is my dream.
My passion.
My learning.
A collection of my pieces.

..when it leaves me, it is not just a piece of metal.
It is not just a ring.
Not just a sale.
Not just a thought.
It is a part of me.
It is my experiences, my attention, my hopes.
It is a building block to my future.
It is a treasure of my heart.
The roots of my mind.
The stem of my creativity.
It is a part of who I will be and who I can be.
It's something so much further down.
Something that I hope can be appreciated for more than just its definition.

This is where I hold my hands out and ask you to believe in me.
To believe in art-
and to never stop teaching it.

  1. i believe in you.
    i believe in your art.
i'm loving being a part of the process, the wearing of your collection, your art.

    [p.s. you are inspiring are....]

    1. And I am ever so thankful for you.
I have no words to express just how thankful.
Everyday your words are there for me- everyday they push me- support me- make me happy to be where I am.

  2. I have this quote on my Etsy profile and I think you may like it:

"When you buy from an independent artist you are buying more than just a painting or a novel or a song. You are buying hundreds of hours of experimentation and thousands of failures. You are buying days, weeks, months, years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You are buying nights of worry about paying the rent, having enough money to eat, having enough money to feed the children, the birds, the dogs. You aren't just buying a THING, you are buying a piece of heart, a part of soul, a private moment in someone's life. Most important you are buying that artist more time to do something they are truly passionate about: something that makes all of the above worth the fear and all the doubt: something that puts the life into the living"

    -Rebekah Joy Plett
