  3. To make 2015 my best year I am going to be independent!
In my little mining town, time stood still. The mine went on strike and things changed.
I decided I had to move away for a while. Move to a city (yikes!).
A while turned to a few years and this came at a price. Living on my own I was soon in debt. It was one step forward two steps back.
Not only was I supporting family but you know the domino effect people always talking about? It's real! The car breaks died, my cat needed vet visits, I needed expensive dental work, etc etc... etc ETC. . Wow, don't even get me started. When it rains it pours!
Slowly but surely I was able to get back on my feet. I've been working so hard!
The days I made myself get out of bed were worth it.
I am almost out of debt and this year I WILL be out of debt.
Slowly my side business is growing and I can finally move forward.
2015 will be the year I will be able to be independent and do a few things FOR ME!
This year will be the best year ever!

  5. 2015 will be one filled with adventure. Since I was sick for the past 15 years, I felt that I missed out on so much of my life. As my healing journey is almost coming to an end (praying for 100% healing and am closer today than yesterday), it has allowed me to appreciate herbal medicine. It is with this appreciation and determination that I am using my vacation time to go to the University of New Mexico to study with herbalist from the Amazon, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, etc. I wish my job allowed for more time off, but I will be thankful for the blessing to attend at least a week of the course. I plan on attending as many herbal gatherings, plant walks, and classes as I can. I also plan to work on a garden so I can harvest my own food and herbs. I never know where my love of herbalism will take me, but I am ready for the adventure, as well as regaining my life back. 2015, I am ready to continue my adventure; standing firm with both feet and a wild heart.

  7. Oh, I love this. Casting silver from scratch is so cool, I would love to watch the process one day. 2015 will be my year because it will have the most perfect seasons: it mellowly starts out with a southern California spring growing buds, blooming into the balmy heat of the coastal summer expanding in circumference and on it's peak will take us back to the toes of the black forest were the late ripe summer is filled with new wine and Alsatian treats and blueberry picking. In the depth of fall, when the leaves have turned yellow and red and brown, a generous harvest season will bring us a little tiny family addition with whom we will bundle up and cuddle into the gloomy and cold winter months sharing bodily warmth and newborn kisses. 2015!

  8. I'm letting go and leaving behind the things that no longer serve me. :) Congrats on the new line! And thanks for the opportunity to win a piece of yours!

  9. Tiny silver treasures! Your two small hands make some whopper stuff.
I'm really proud of you, how far you've branched out, making a good and honest living doing what you love, and standing by your ideals and philosophy. Your uniqueness stands alone. I'm fortunate to have followed you on your path for so long now.
I couldn't be more happy with your original Stag Protector Crystal necklace that I lucked out and got a hold of. That is all the comfort & magic I need.
However...I am in love with that precious leather pouch!
*I want to take things slower, Ash. I want to listen more closely, to see, to really look at nature. I'm inspired to learn what song comes from what bird. (Sound familiar?)
I want to spend more time at the Silver Moonbeam and write. And to stay off the web more.
That's what I'm hoping to accomplish this year.
And to eat more beets. :)
Thank you for this giveaway, bird!

  10. I'm going through a difficult separation, but hoping to use this opportunity to really focus on myself this year, and use the rest of 2015 to do more and take better care. I love sterling silver, and love your work -- it would be the most amazing, lucky thing to win a piece of yours (I've never won a giveaway)!

  11. Your work is incredibly beautiful...congratulations on the new line!
This year is already our best year. My husband started a new job in a new industry. We're making this our best year yet by being grateful for all the little things (and big!) in our lives. Remembering to be grateful keeps us focused on the positive and makes the negative seem less significant somehow. Here's to new beginnings!

2015....I am pushing my limits, stepping outside my comfort zone. Hiking farther, wandering deeper into the wild.
And here's hoping 2015 is YOUR best year ever too!

  14. Loving this line!

For 2015 I want big changes for my family. We sold our house and paid off all our debt at the end of the year last year. We are now doing everything we can to move from PA to the West Coast. My husband works very hard so I can stay home with our children. I have dreams of us roaming mountains, forests and beaches. I want to see the world with them, and show them the all the beauty out here, that is often so hard to see. I want to cherish each day they have their innocence and awe for life. I want to continue teaching them to live life for today and instilling a love of Nature. We are doing the best we can for now, but our dreams come true this year.

  15. I'm feeling creative in 2015. I'm taking up stained glass and mosaics once again after a lapse of about 15 years... Plus, I discovered milk and chalk paints and am getting ready to work on a vintage kidney-shaped vanity table that used to belong to my mother. It will be painted with pink milk paint, waxed with a darker wax to highlight the edges to make it look more "vintage" and going to mosaic the vanity top before I find a someone who will cut me a piece of kidney-shape glass to protect it all... ;-)

  16. Thank you, Ashley, for being an inspiration and igniting the drive for me to pursue metalsmithing. Your work and words inspire me to become an original jewelry designer, where people recognize my art as "Hana Kae", just when I see your pictures, instantly I know it's Ashley Weber! For 2015, I plan to focus on creating my own individual style and learn to love making jewelry instead of saying, "others are way better than I am." As a self-taught metalsmith, I know that practice and experience will eventually bring me to that comfort zone, free of self doubt. Thanks, again for this amazing giveaway and your lovely soul! Xoxo.

  18. To make 2015 the best year yet, I have been smiling a lot more! I heard somewhere that simply smiling will brighten your own mood, but I have found it brightens the mood of everyone around me as well!! It has been hard many times, but over all soooo worth it!

  21. You are my inspiration, girl. Every time I see your work, your nature endearing posts and your inspired words...I am in awe. That you propagate. That you are a beautiful old soul. I love that your blackened hands show how hard you work and the pride in a handful of finished. My grandparents taught me to appreciate nature...you remind me of them and my heart aches to be in the forest or on a lake by canoe or hiking a path with eyes peeled, towards the ground. Your work takes me there. In 2015, I want to play again...with stones, sterling silver and nature. Just. Like. You. xx

I'm learning (always a learning process) to put my thoughts, my feelings, my views on a deeper level of understanding and respect. In 2015, I have noticed a marked difference in how much happier I am because of it.

If someone hurts me, they've hurt me. Not because they had a hard childhood, or they have never learned how to process their emotions, or they're busy with work and was brusque. They've hurt me.

If someone loves me, it's not because I can give them something materialistic, it's not because I complimented their dress that day, it's not because I like the same band they do. It's because they love me.

"Never apologize for burning too brightly or collapsing into yourself every night. That is how galaxies are made." -Tyler Kent White

    With love,

  29. Hi Ashley~ you are a constant source of inspiration! 2015 has dawned as the Year of Possibilties. After raising my son single handedly, and now finding myself in my 50's, I feel like I'm in a state of flux, on the verge of great things. I am eager to learn new things, do things that I have never done and follow my creative passions wherever they lead. I am so excited and chomping at the bit! I feel so open to whatever the universe has in store for me and no longer tethered to the nail biting choices of single-momdom. I am breathing deeply, inhaling the headiness of it all.

  32. omg am I too late for this? these are amazing Ashley!!!! I especially adore the skull, always been a totem for me, love the turquoise on it. did you make the pouch?! fabulous medicine bag for treasures :D (Hi, it's superpixie/skygypsy from flickr :D <3 ) SO I am pretty excited about my plans for this year. I decided to work on getting certified as an aromatherapist, love essential oils, plant intelligence is similar to crystal/stone intelligence. and I also am working on developing some classes to teach people basic body awareness for improved well being of body and spirit… thinking about a you tube channel! evolving my love of bodywork and spirituality and my compulsion to help people empower their own happiness and wellbeing through simple, accessible practices and tools. as for ME, i need to balance this work with creative time. I have so many artistic interests is hard to choose but I would like to start with posting photography regularly and play w little found nature sculpture assemblages and encaustic w my photos. I still want to do metalsmithing one day, I still doodle designs all the time. might just start w/beads I have and play. keyword for creating for me I think is PLAY and not to worry about trying to generate income that way. I think if I let myself explore, it will naturally evolve and perhaps my love of crystals/rocks will crossover between healing work and artful adornment. very drawn to talismans these days. which made me realize what I love about your work so much, it is as if they are imbued items w sacred souls :) in essential oils, it is called a synergy, when individual oil personalities blend to create something greater than the sum, something which sings with harmony and resonance, multiple voices amplified into chorus. these are what your creations are: metal, stone, earth and sun, all blended into piece which is both stillness and dance :) <3
