Life has been kind of crazy over here. I quit my day job for my day dream this month. I finally did it. I feel so very very free, and yet... there is so much I need to improve on, work on, get done.

I know we all have those projects that we tell ourselves we need to do and then oh, a year or so later... they're still sitting there waiting for us. Am I right?  Yeah, those projects. Don't act like you're not on the same channel here. Whether they are self related, work related, home improvement related... we, as humans, load our plates with to-do lists. And let me tell you, mine is looking painfully long.

Summer is approaching us here in Arizona, far too quickly. We've already hit a 100 degree day, and the hotter it gets, usually the less motivated I become.... the more cranky I become... the more I dread all the time I spend in the garage.
Austin came through for me.
This week he installed a fancy little setup for the swamp cooler. I didn't even ask him to, I hadn't been complaining (yet), which can only mean one thing...
Last summer I must have acted like a dragon.
...aaaand maybe he likes me some too. (and now that I think about it, he has been wanting a new mountain bike).

So in any case, here I am.
I am working my little buns off.
I am pushing towards my dreams... my goals... a new life.

What are you doing this summer?
Have you set any special time aside for yourself?
Do you have a big nasty project you're finally getting around to?
Do you want to come live here in my place and let me take your beach, or your boat, or your big open, wild space? ...because surely I would trade with you.

Here's some of what has been happening in my neck of the woods.
oh, and taxes... but pictures of my crying face weren't proving very attractive.

  1. I have lists upon lists myself! And I also find myself on the very beginning of a new life it seems. Last year my father passed away, my husband left me and our daughter for some tramp, and my job tried to force me in to sales. I packed my two year old and myself up, moved back to my hometown, and took a chance. Now I'm working an amazing job for an amazing company and truly feel like life is affording me a chance to start over. So, getting to the to-do lists will take some time, but I can honestly say I am better for it.

Love all your pieces! What is written around the turquoise piece?

    1. Amanda! Thank you for sharing... it's pretty amazing how hard times can change our lives in such amazing ways, isn't it? Though the story started off sad, it's still being written, and clearly you see, that it is coming around. There there is so much good that is coming your way through your courage and hard work.
So much of life is a choice. You must choose happiness each and every day.

Thank you do much for being here. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.
The ring says, "by the light of the moon." It was an anniversary gift reminiscent of a couples wedding.

    1. It's so juicy, isn't it!? I made it as a gift for my mom for Mothers day, but I have a handful more that I will be ready to use up once my wholesale orders are finished! :) - the band is made from a cast palm twig, too.

  4. To do:
    Sell home
    Buy home
    Pack and Move (oh, gods....)
    Maintain sanity
Restrain Self from Bludgeoning to death a couple of coworkers in slow and messy fashion.
    Remember how to Breathe

Hope you are doing well, and that you are happy, in spite of being massively busy. Hold on, the work you're doing is such good and worthy work.

  5. Haaa! Apparently I was a dragon too last summer as my husband is installing a *Mastercool* swamp cooler this month.
This summer I will be seeking even more solitude on my mountain. I'll be sending cool, green thoughts to you on a refreshing breeze. xx
