I love when people are SO excited about gifting that they can't wait until Christmas... because it means I can finally post some things I've been super excited about.

These being one of those things (or 3).

Made for three sisters- a surprise from their dad.
These ladies have moved 7 times each! I was lucky to be their neighbor when I first moved to Arizona, and we have been best friends ever since.

Each decorated with the coordinates of each city they've lived in, rolled horsefly wings (via a wonderful friend of mine in Florida), Jade and Amazontie.

When I finished them, I wrote their dad, "I think I nailed it."
Yesterday I got confirmation from each of the three of just that.

It's truly an amazing feeling, knowing what I can do, how I can make someone feel, with the gifts from my hands. Treasured things. Full hearts.

  1. well, i feel lucky, blessed, to have been one of the people who received an "against the grain" creation this holiday, thanks to the sneakiness of the elf who runs that little one-woman company down in the desert of arizona. [not *this* particular item shown in the post, above, but a sweet sweet necklace....with my favourite ATG totem stamped on it.!]
my gift probably was not meant to be opened before "christmas" but it arrived [and i needed it!] on the solstice.

  3. Love the whole idea of the coordinates. There are places with meaning for everyone, and you have found the perfect way to express that. Beautiful jewelry from a beautiful woman's hands.
